Holton Takes Third & Jeff West Fifth at Jeff West Girls Golf Invite

Holton Wildcats and Jeff West Tigers continued to have strong performances on the season as they competed against seven other teams in the Jeff West Invite on Monday (September 30th).

For the Wildcats, they were looking to build upon their first team first place finish of the season in their last competition this time taking home a third place team performance with a score of 384 behind a couple of top 10 individual performances. Senior, Kyrstie Miller lead the charge for the Wildcats taking home a first place performance after a round of 81, winning the tiebreaker in against a girl form KC Piper. Senior, Sam Herring joined her teammate in the top 10 finishing eighth behind a round of 93 on the day. Wildcats only finished 11 strokes back of first place Hayden team.

The Jeff West Tigers took home a fifth place team performance with two top 15 individual performances. Junior, Allie Deiter paced the way for the Tigers notching a ninth place finish with a round of 95, while sophomore, Jordan Biggs took home a 14th place finish with a round of 100.

One other Big Seven school in Santa Fe Trail, also competed at the meet taking seventh place as a team with a 451 score.

Both the Wildcats and Tigers had another strong performance and look to continue that momentum in their next competition. For Holton they head back to the golf course Tuesday (October 1st) in the Santa Fe Trail Invite at the Hidden Springs golf course. Jeff West while hit the golf course next on Monday (October 7th) in the Silver Lake Invite.
