The Kansas Coaches have released their third cross country rankings of the season and yet again the rankings feature a multitude of Kanzaland area teams either ranked or receiving votes in the polls in their respective classes.

Starting in Class 1A were the Axtell Eagles boys and girls teams have been ranked the entire season and continue to be and highly ranked at that. The girls Eagles squad is ranked third currently only a few votes behind the two teams tied for first place, while the Eagles boys team checks in at number four. Two other teams find themselves receiving votes in the polls in Class 1A both in the boys rankings as Clifton-Clyde and Frankfort are both garnering votes.

In Class 2A its one Kanzaland are school highlighting the rankings as the Jefferson County North Chargers boys cross country team is ranked fourth and the girls team is receiving votes, right outside the top seven looking in.

Class 3A is the only other class that features Kanzaland area teams in the cross country polls and their are five teams in the mix of the rankings. Only one of the five teams ranks in the top seven of the boys or girls Class 3A poll and that is the Sabetha Bluejays girls team which ranks sixth. Two other teams are receiving votes in Class 3A for the girls teams as the Rams of Pleasant Ridge and the Chargers of Horton are both picking up votes.

For the boys in Class 3A, two teams are receiving votes in the polls as the Raiders of Nemaha Valley and Bluejays of Sabetha are each picking up a few votes.

Area cross country teams continue their season with a few meets to go before league meets come about in a few weeks.
