K-State Lands Player of the Week in Big 12 for 3rd Straight Week

For the third straight the Kansas State Wildcats have seen one of there players named as a Big 12 Player of the Week and for the second straight time its the Special Teams Player of the Week.

After riding high form the Wildcats 24-19 win on the road versus Oklahoma, the Wildcats punter, Ryan Doerr earned the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week honors. Doerr played a key role in the win for the Wildcats with all five of his punts in the ball game being downed inside the Sooners 20-yard line, with two inside the 10. The Sooners started seven of their 10 drives inside its own 25-yard. Doerr's longest punt of the evening went for 49 yards.

Doerr is the third Wildcat this season to earn Big 12 Player of the Week honors, as the previous week the Special Teams Player of the Week honor went to Wildcat kick returner, Tyler Lockett and the week before that the Offensive Player of the Week honors went to Wildcat quarterback, Colin Klein.
