Having to wait two days to play their first game in the post-season proved not to be a good thing for the Peru State Bobcat softball. Mother Nature forced the delay due to rain and cool temperatures, only to see the Bobcats fall to Evangel University 12-0 in five innings.
This occurred in the first round of the revised Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) post-season tournament that was held at the Blue Valley Rec Complex in Overland Park, Kan. With the loss, the Bobcats' season ended with a 15-26 mark.
Central Methodist University ended up winning the tournament over MidAmerica Nazarene University on Sunday. Both teams will advance to the NAIA Softball National Championships.
