After helping lead her team to two important Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) wins, Peru State senior Emily Maresh, was named the HAAC's Softball Player of the Week.

Maresh, a catcher from Central City, helped the Bobcats to three wins on the week, including the two over HAAC foe, Missouri Valley College.

After a slow start in the first game against Nebraska Wesleyan, Maresh got hot for the final three games of the week, hitting two home runs, one triple, and one double.  Maresh batted .462 on the week, had a slugging percentage of 1.154, and drove in nine RBI.

Maresh's two home runs allowed her to be now tied for fourth in the Bobcats' all-time career chart.  In addition, Maresh also moved into fifth for career RBI and ninth on the all-time doubles chart.  Maresh also was strong in her performance behind the plate for Peru State.

Aubrey Utley, the HAAC's Softball Pitcher of the Week, and Maresh will represent the HAAC for the NAIA national awards which are announced on Tuesday.
