Fechter breaks school record on the golf course as a sophomore

Sophomore Addison Fechter made history last week, setting a school record on the golf course. Playing 18 holes, she needed just 74 strokes to finish tied for second place at the meet. 

Fechter, has only golfed twice, this season so far, with just two varsity meets, but has made the most of it. In the other varsity meet, which was just 9 holes, Fechter finished 3rd, shooting a 44. 

In the Leavenworth Girl's Invitational at Trails West last week, Fechter was playing against a lot of 5A and 6A schools, but shot a 74, just one stroke away from tying for 1st place with a girl from Blue Valley North. 

As a freshman last season, Fechter finshed tied for 13th at the state meet. She will be one to watch on the links over the next couple of years.
