Annalie Bell and other Jefferson County North Chargers hit career milestones
The Jefferson County North Chargers volleyball team has historically been a powerhouse in Northeast Kansas. This year is no exception, as the Chargers have won another league title, and are currently 30-2 on the season. They have the Osawatomie tournament this Saturday, but are in a prime spot to host their regional and sub-state contests.
In the double dual win over Jackson Heights, junior Annalie Bell reached 2,000 career assists and counting. As a three-year starter, she also has over 600 digs and a serve percentage of .992. A very impressive career for Bell, who still has her senior season left.
About 10 days earlier, the Chargers recognized 4 seniors, who have reached big career milestones. Laykin Kramer went over 500 career digs. Lindsay Martin, Lyra Weishaar and Carina Johnson all went over 100 career blocks as well.
All of this behind, legendary head coach David Schuler, who currently sits at 399 career wins, and should easily surpass that by season's end.
The Chargers finished 4th in 2A last season and are looking to get back to the big dance and claim revenge this season.
