Jefferson County North Volleyball claims second straight undefeated league title

For the second straight fall, the Jefferson County North Chargers rule the volleyball world in the Northeast Kansas League. Back-to-back undefeated league champions, for a team that last season, finished 42-7 and 4th in the 2A state tournament. 

This year, the veteran Chargers sqaud hasn't slowed down. They are out to a 22-1 start, with a perfect 10-0 run through the league competiton. JCN's only loss came to the number one team in 1A-D1, the Centralia Panthers. 

Jefferson County North has dropped just 5 sets all season, through 23 matches. Under longtime, legendary head coach, David Schuler, the Chargers are 391-124 in his 13 years. The Chargers are currently the number three team in Class 2A, per the KVA rankings. 

Also, if you think this Chargers team might slow down, due to graduation, you would be mistaken, the Chargers JV team is also the back-to-back undefeated league champs. 

The Chargers have another exciting squad this season, with a veteran coach and group of players on the court. They will once again be in it till the end, and one of the area teams to keep an eye on, as we approach postseason volleyball.
