Centralia perfect in 1st half, as they crush Doniphan West
From the jump, the Centralia Panthers dominated the Doniphan West Mustangs in their first home game of the year, defeating the visitors 49-0.
After forcing a three and out, Centralia went 4 plays, 42 yards, for a touchdown, Degan Ronnebaum rushing it from 25 yards out. After another 3 and out, Ronnebaum scored from 23 yards out, making it 14-0. The next drive was a one play touchdown for the Panthers, as Isaac Reinecke found paydirt, scoring from 41 yards out, making it 21-0.
After a 4th straight D-West 3 and out, Ronnebaum scored again from 25 yards out, making it 28-0. Quentin Alderfer got in on the action, scoring the next two touchdowns, from 11 yards and 2 yards out respectively. Bronx Talley scored the last touchdown for the game on a 38-yard scamper. The Panthers led 49-0 at halftime.
The second half was a running clock, and a lot of younger guys played for both teams, but nobody scored.
Degan Ronnebaum was our Farmers State Bank Player of the Game rushing 5 times for 81 yards and 3 touchdowns all in the first half. Quentin Alderfer had 8 carries for 122 yards and 2 touchdowns, all in the first half. He was also 1-1 passing for 31 yards.
Samuel Merrill led the way for Doniphan West with 14 carries and 46 yards.
