Royal Valley wins Jeff West Volleyball Tournament

The Royal Valley Panthers dominated the Jefferson West volleyball tournament on Saturday, dropping just one set all day, on their way to a championship. 

It was a good day for KiWe Miller, getting over 1,000 career kills during the tournament. On the day, as a team, the Panthers swept Valley Falls, 25-9 and 25-19. Then they beat Santa Fe Trail, 25-16 and 25-23. They easily got through Pleasant Ridge, 25-9 and 25-11. 

In the semifinals, they knocked off league foe, St. Mary's, 25-11, 25-21. And then beat the Jefferson West in the championship game, 22-25, 25-15, 25-23. The Panthers are now 12-1 on the season, with their only loss being a close couple of sets against Centralia.
