Centralia Volleyball Begins 2026 with Tournament Win at Wabaunsee

The No. 2-ranked Centralia volleyball team in Class 1A-I opened its 2026 campaign in impressive fashion Saturday, winning the Wabaunsee Tournament and starting the season 6-0.

The Panthers rolled through a loaded field, earning victories over Axtell, Heritage Christian, NEK Homeschool, Royal Valley, St. Marys, and host Wabaunsee.

Royal Valley finished runner-up at 5-1, with its only loss coming against Centralia.

Axtell claimed third place with a 4-2 record, picking up wins over NEK Homeschool, St. Marys, Wabaunsee, and Heritage Christian.

St. Marys finished the day 1-5, with its lone victory coming against NEK Homeschool.
