The Maur Hill-Mount Academy girls basketball team won the McLouth Invitational Tournament last week and junior Kaitlyn Folsom was a big part of the team’s success.
It was the first tournament championship in school history for the Maur Hill-Mount Academy girls basketball team.
Kaitlyn was named to the all-tournament team averaging over 17 points and nine rebounds per game in the tournament.
In the 50-18 first round win over Maranatha, Kaitlyn had 15 points and 11 rebounds. In the 52-47 double-overtime semifinal win over Horton, she poured in 17 points, seven rebounds, and five steals.
In the 60-40 win over NEK in the title game, Kaitlyn finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds. The Ravens had a 24-0 scoring run against NEK to help put the title game away.
The Ravens have won five of their last six games since starting the season 0-3.
