Grady Buessing

Axtell’s Grady Buessing continues to dominate on the track for the defending 1A State Champion Eagles. Last week at the Regional’s, Grady won the 800m, 1600m, and 3200m events while also helping the 4x400m and 4x800m relay teams finish in first place.  

Grady is in the record books three times at Axtell on the track as he holds the 800m record which he broke last year at the state meet. He anchored the 4x800m relay team which broke the school record at regional’s this season, and he also anchored the 4x400m relay team when they broke the school record earlier this season.

This is the first year for Grady to run the 3200m event and has been within five seconds of breaking that school record.

Overall, Grady has eight state medals including three gold medals from last year and he has a great chance to add to that along with helping Axtell potentially repeat as 1A State Champions.

Grady has signed and committed to run track at Washurn University next year.
