John Langill

Nemaha Central’s John Langill won his first ever regional title this past weekend at the 3A meet in Sabetha. He’ll look to close out his cross country career this weekend at the state meet in Lawrence.

He finished second at regional’s last season and 10th at the state meet plus he’s won the last two Big 7 league titles.

In his career, John has competed in 34 high school meets and has finished in first place in 13 of those events. He’s finished second place five times and third place three times. He’s finished inside the top 10 in 29 of those 34 races.

Thunder head coach Jon Thomas: Very few people love running more than John.  It would almost be impossible to find someone in town or out in the country that hasn't seen John running by their house.  John strives for individual success, but the team's success is just as important to him.
