Preston Christenson

The Troy baseball team has been playing some good ball this month including most recently a two-game sweep over Oskaloosa with wins of 7-6 and 8-6.

In the 7-6 win, Preston Christenson was key on both sides as he struck out 11 on the mound and hit a walk-off home run to win the game.

Offensively, Preston is hitting .320 this season with nine RBI which is second best on the team. He’s batting .438 with runners in scoring position which is best on the team.

On the mound, Preston leads the Trojans with four starts and nearly 21 innings pitched. He’s allowed just one earned run and his ERA is less than one.

He’s racked up 33 strikeouts which is over 46% of the team’s total strikeouts this season. The Trojans are playing some of their best baseball of the season so far, winning four of their last five games.
