Marshall Leads Jackson Heights to Second Place Finish at Frankfort Invite
Sarah Marshall

The Jackson Heights volleyball team has enjoyed a near perfect start to the 2020 season as the Cobras are off to an 8-1 start to the year following a second-place finish at the Frankfort Invitational over the weekend.

A major key to the success of the Cobras to this point has been the play of senior Sarah Marshall who has recorded over 50 kills through the first nine matches for Jackson Heights.

Her biggest match came on Saturday in the Cobras win over Manhattan as she recorded 11 kills, two aces, seven digs and one block.

She has had three double-digit kill performances this season and 10-dig match against Oskaloosa to open the season.

The Cobras are currently tied with Jeff County North at the top of the Northeast Kansas League and Marshall will look to propel Jackson Heights to a league title this season and a potential run at state coming up next month.
