The Nemaha Central girls and Axtell boys won the Nemaha Central Track and Field Invitational on Tuesday, April 15.
The Thunder girls dominated the day finishing the meet with 224.5 points. The highlight of the day for NC was Zoey Sudbeck who broke the school record in the discus with a throw of 151'8".
Not only is that the top mark in Class 3A but it's the top mark among all classes in the state this season.
Centralia would finish behind the Thunder girls in second place with 111 points and Hanover would finish in third place with 58 points.
Axtell (55), Valley Heights (44.5), Onaga (39), and Pawnee City (18) rounded out the team scores.
The Axtell boys also dominated the day as they finished the meet with 201.5 points while Nemaha Central finished in second place with 121.5 points and Pawnee City finished in third place with 86 points.
Valley Heights (51), Hanover (48), and Centralia (36) rounded out the team scores.
