Onaga Boys Golf Wins Home Tournament while Sabetha Wins Holton Tournament

The Onaga boys golf team won their home tournament Monday at Cool Springs by 29 strokes over Centralia. 

The Buffaloes finished with a score of 333 while the Panthers finished in second place with a score of 362. St. Marys Academy (362), Rock Creek (395), Hanover (405), Washington County (418), and Frankfort (424) rounded out the team scoring. 

Onaga's Graham Valburg and Konnor Nider tied for first place as they both shot 79. Jayden DeWalt of Valley Heights tied for third place with an 80. 

Centralia was led by Gage Wimberly who finished in sixth place with a score of 84. Complete tournament results can be found here

The Sabetha boys golf team won the Holton Invitational with an impressive team score of 308. The home Wildcats would finish in second place with a score of 339. 

Nemaha Central (346), Jefferson West (351), Hiawatha (360), Royal Valley (373), and Perry-Lecompton (383) rounded out the team scoring. 

The Bluejays posted five scores inside the top 10 including three inside the top four. Roman Scoby won the tournament with a round of 71 while Cole Grimes and Cullen Wikle finished third and fourth respectively with scores of 77 and 78. 

Holton's Korben Fox finished in second place with a 72 while Royal Valley's Carson Beam finished in a tie for fourth with a score of 78. Nemaha Central's Layton Thomas also broke 80 finishing in sixth place with a 79.
