The Rossville girls basketball team rolled to a third straight blowout win on Saturday to claim the Jeff County North Girls Invite Championship. The Lady Dawgs beat host JCN in the title game 87-39 after posting 50+ points wins in the opening round and semifinals. Nora Burdiek scored 26 points and Emma Mitchell added 16 points, which helped her eclipse the 1,000 point mark in her Rossville high school career.

Perry Lecompton lost the third place game to the NEK Nighthawks 38-35 while Oskaloosa finished 2-1 in the tourney with a 5th place medal by beating Valley Falls 51-41 and Atchison High topped ACCHS 41-37 to finish in 7th place with one tourney win. 

The JCN GIrls Invite All Tourney Team of 10 was led by four players from Rossville: Kinsey Perine, Emma Mitchell, Rylee Dick and Nora Burdiek. JCN had Clara Johnson and Abby Laird selected to the All Tourney Team while others making the recognition were: Mikayla Boyd of Oskaloosa, Presley Simpson from Atchison, Korie Kirkwood of Valley Falls and Taylor Damme of Perry Lecompton.
