The Doniphan West Girls Cross Country team is back in a familiar spot as they advanced to the State Tournament 1A State Meet with a runner-up finish at the Centralia Regional on Saturday. 

The Mustangs finished behind Osborne who finished in first place. 

Top finisher for the Mustangs was Claire Cole who finished in second place. Lena Leatherman finished in 15th place while Emma Albers finished in 22nd place. 

The Mustangs will be looking for their third straight State Championship as 1A and 2A will be in Victoria at Sand Plum Nature Trail on Saturday.
