Area Athletes Named All-State by KBCA

2019-20 KBCA All-State – Selections

Postseason high school basketball awards wrapped up Tuesday afternoon with the final all-state selections of the 2019-20 season released by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association.

In Class 4A area girls earned a first, second or third team all-state selection led by Hanover’s Tianna Lohse being the only first teamer while Centralia’s Morgan Kramer was named to the second team.

Blue Valley’s Brooklyn Zoeller and Frankfort Kennen Brandt wrapped up the girl’s side with a pair of third team selections.

On the boy’s side of Class 1A Axtell’s Quinn Buessing earned a second team all-state nod while Centralia’s Kamble Haverkamp was named to the third team.

In Class 2A three area girl’s earned all-state with Valley Height’s Sam Vermetten and Jeff County North’s Josie Weishaar each named to the first time while Jackson Heights’ Kylie Dohl was named to the second team.

On the boy’s side just one area athlete earned honors with Valley Heights’ Cameron Beardsley named a second team selection.

In Class 3A just one area girl was named all-state as Nemaha Central’s Alleigh Kramer racked up yet another first team selection.

The all-state selections were rounded out on the boy’s side with Royal Valley’s Nahcs Wahwassuck who was named to the second team.
