George Worley Invitational – Results

The high school wrestling season continued Saturday for area teams competing at the The George Worley Invitational Tournament at Atchison and it was the host Redmen who had the best area finish claiming second place out of 13 schools competing.

The Redmen ended the day with four first place finishers as Archer Willis at 113 pounds, Jake Rebant at 138, Ethan Watson at 220 and Nick Funk at 285 each won their respective weight class.

ACCHS finished closely behind Atchison to take third place with three more first place finishers as Mason Scholz claimed the 120-pound title while Colby Smith won at 145 and Colton Scholz at 152.

The final individual winners came from Royal Valley, Onaga and Oskaloosa as the Panthers had Quinton Nelson take first at 106 while the Buffaloes Rilyn Maginnes took first a 182 and the Bears Eli King at 195.
