Atchison Drops KCAL Battle at Schlagle

The Atchison Redmen fell to Schlagle in Kansas City, KS Friday night 33-24.  

AHS had battled back from an early deficit to take a 24-18 lead into the fourth quarter but KU commit Jaylin Richardson scored twice in 28 seconds to secure the Stallions win.  Richardson scored 4 touchdowns on the night.  Atchison was led in rushing by Xavier Cushinberry who accounted for one Redmen TD.  Quarterback Patrick Denton and RB Garyeon Simpson also got into the endzone. 

AHS is now 0-2 on the season and will travel to Piper next Friday night.
