Benedictine Runs Past William penn

The Benedictine Ravens used a powerful ground game to defeat William Penn University 47-11 in their home-opener Saturday afternoon in Wilcox Stadium.

Marquis Stewart ran for 176 yards and Charlie Nihart added 108 as BC put up 309 rushing yards on the day.  In their first two games, the Ravens have rushed for 738 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Dayton Bush had two interceptions for the defense, one of which he returned for a touchdown, on his way to an 8 tackle game.

Benedictine 2-0 and #2 in the nation, goes back on the road next Saturday afternoon travelling to Peru State (NE) for a 1:00 kickoff in the Oak Bowl.  KAIR 93.7 coverage begins with the pre-game at 12:30.
