JCN Girls, McLouth Boys Lead Area Performances at the Pleasant Ridge Invitational

Pleasant Ridge Invitational – Results

Area track & field teams competed Monday afternoon at the Pleasant Ridge Invitational and it was the Jeff County North girls and McLouth boys who each came away with the best area finishes.

The Lady Chargers took second as a team with three event winners with individual golds claimed by Adie Manville in the high jump and Karisa Schmalz in the pole vault, while JCN also had the 4 by 100-meter relay team claim first.

Pleasant Ridge added three more wins on the girl’s side, led by Emma Schwinn who won the 100 and 300-meter hurdles while Kaija Nutsch won the javelin.

The final two girls first place finishers came from McLouth and Oskaloosa, as the Lady Dawgs were led by Sarah Dailey who won the shot put while the Lady Bears had Olivia Kilgo win the triple jump.

On the boy’s side McLouth finished second as a team with three event winners, as Jeremy Carlton won the pole vault while the 4 by 100 and 400-meter relay teams also picked up wins.

ACCHS added three more gold medal winners, as Trystin Myers won the 110 and 300-meter hurdles while Jonathan Joice claimed the high jump crown.

For the Jeff County North boys, they had Ryan Feldkamp take first in the javelin and James Kramer first in the long jump, while Pleasant Ridge had Hunter Wagner win the shot put and discus.

The meet was rounded out by Valley Falls and Maur Hill-Mount Academy who each had one guy earn gold, as the Dragons had Nathan Pickerell win the triple jump while Taylor Folsom led the Ravens winning the 100-meter dash.
