The golf season is starting to hit the back stretch as the only a few tournaments remain before Regional action and Marysville and Nemaha Central continued their season on Monday as Marysville hosted a competition. 

The Bulldogs notched a 176 four-man team score to take second as a team out of five teams finishing 12-strokes out of first place which was earned by Wamego. Nemaha Central posted an even 200 team score to place fourth. 

A pair of Top five finishes out of 30 golfers led the host Marysville as Jackson and Tyler Rader posted rounds of 40 and 42 to finish third and fifth, respectively. A 46 and 48 earned Alex Arntt and Brent Kieffer tenth and 11th place for Marysville. Three other Bulldog golfers were on the links in action as Tabitha Wright, Jason Arntt and Gabe Pieschl shot rounds of 54, 56 and 56. 

Nemaha Central was led by Dalton Schmelzle who finished 13th on the day after shooting a 49. Hunter Feldkamp and Eric Hammes placed 14th and 15th with rounds of 50 each for the Thunder. Billy Mitchell, Cassidy Corby and Cole Kramer were all also in action for Nemaha Central posting scores of 51, 53 and 63. 

The season continues for both Marysville and Nemaha Central next week when they compete in their respective League competitions. Marysville will tee it up at the North Central Kansas meet on Monday, May 7th, while Nemaha Central will host the Big Seven meet on Wednesday, May 9th.
