They stay history repeat itself and in the of winning volleyball State title that is true in the town of Centralia. For the second straight year, fourth time in last five years and 14th time overall the Centralia Panthers laid claimed to a State volleyball title winning the 1A-Division I State crown.

The Panthers pounced early in pool play opening up State on a 5-0 run against Lebo and continued to grow the lead out going on to take set one 25-15 and then followed that up with a set two win 25-18 as Maddy Lueger recorded the final point on kill.

Lueger continued her strong performance in the next match up as Centralia took on Twin Valley League rival Hanover and unlike last year when the Panthers lost to the Wildcats in pool play the Panthers took the match in straight sets 25-18, 25-10. After it was tight early a Maegan Koch block and Kate Elliott ace led to a Panther 14-10 lead but Hanover managed to tie it at 14-14 only to see Centralia distance themselves again to take set one 25-18. Set two the Panthers pounced early with a 5-0 run and kept the foot on the gas cruising to the set two win 25-10 as Katie Glatzcak and Parker Bowers both had strong sets to set up their teammates upfront.

In the final pool play contest it was a battle with Pretty Prairie to see who would win the pool and the Panthers got off to another strong start leading 3-0 but it was tied several times early and Pretty Prairie even led 9-6. That led was short lived for Pretty Prairie as the Panthers went on a 7-0 run to take control of the first set and win it 25-14. Set two the Panthers were down 13-9 but clawed right back tying set two at 18-18 and the going on to take set 25-21 for the win and a 3-0 performance in pool play. Both Morgan Kramer and Jenri Conley made several digs and plays on the back row throughout pool play.

Into the Semifinals and final four for the seventh straight year Centralia went after a 3-0 pool play and they took on Sylvan-Lucas Unified and won handily 25-11, 25-13. Once the Panthers were up 9-3 in the first set they just continued to extend the lead and in set two the Panthers started the set with a 6-1 lead and Ashlyne Thunder-Hawk had the final point of the match on an ace.

In the Championship contest the Panthers drew a matchup with South Central who was also unbeaten at State entering the Championship contest. After being down 5-4 early in the first set Centralia went up and pushed the lead all the way to 16-9 when South Central called a timeout that lead grew out of the timeout as the Panthers scored the next four points to go up 20-9 and then went on to take the first set 25-17. The second set started rough for the Panthers as South Central started with a 4-0 burst and worked to a 14-7 lead when Coach Kimbrook Tennal called a Panther timeout something he normally doesn't do. The lead grew to nine for South Central before Centralia mounted a comeback and slowly chipped away at the lead. The Panthers tied the contest on a Kennedy Becker kill making it 22-22 and Becker had a few more plays in her back pocket down the stretch as Centralia fended off set point once by South Central and then capped the straight set win taking set two 26-24.

The Championship win marks the 14th volleyball State title in school history in 27 State appearances. The Panthers closed the season winning 32-straight matches and only losing three sets all year of the 87 played, while the 5-0 performance at State finished the year for Centralia with a 43-1 record.
