Sabetha Bluejays Girls Tennis Competes at Seaman Invite

The rackets were swinging again on Wednesday as the Sabetha lady Bluejays tennis team was in action at the Seaman Invitational. 

Bluejays had two girls in action in singles play and one doubles tandem also in action on the courts. 

A 3-1 performance in Singles #1 action by Kirsten Wenger earned her third place on the day as she won tough battles against Highland Park and Shawnee Heights 8-7 (7-4) and 8-7 (7-5), respectively. Wenger also picked up a 8-3 win over a competitor from Ottawa, while suffering her only loss 5-8 to a competitor from Seaman. 

The doubles team of Brooklyn Bauman and Savanna Osthoff also recorded a 3-1 day on the courts placing third in the Doubles #2 competition. Bauman and Osthoff's wins came against Wabaunsee 8-2, Ottawa 8-2 and Highland Park 8-5, while their lone loss on the day was against Manhattan 1-8. 

In the Singles #2 competition Addie Hunning was in action for Sabetha and she posted a 2-2 record on the day for fourth place. Hunning picked up wins over Shawnee Heights 8-6 and Highland Park 8-5, while falling to Seaman 0-8 and Ottawa 3-8. 

Sabetha hits the courts again on Thursday, September 7th as they will host a Triangular with Hiawatha and Hayden.
