Full Big Seven Quad at Jeff West Track Results (4-5-16) - Girls results & Boys results

It was Big Seven League action on Tuesday for track as Jeff West hosted fellow League schools Sabetha, Perry Lecompton, ACCHS and Riverside. 

At the end of the day the host Jeff West Tigers won the girls team crown, while the Perry Lecompton boys took the team crown in the boys action. The lady Tigers behind eight event wins posted 85 points to take first as a team, while Sabetha took second with 76 points and Perry Lecompton finished third with 43 points. ACCHS and Riverside girls rounded out the team finishes with 28 and 25 points, respectively for fourth and fifth place. In the boys competition Perry Lecompton edged out Sabetha for first place as a team by six points posting 83 points to 77 for Sabetha who took second place, while Riverside with 52 points finished third. Jeff West and ACCHS boys finished out the boys team standings with 27 and nine points, respectively for fourth and fifth.

The Sabetha Bluejays overall had the most top individual performances with 11 between the girls and boys competitions. In the boys action Eric Renyer helped led the Bluejays top performers as he won both the discus (126'02.50) and shot put (42'10.50) titles on the day, while both Kyle Grimm and Joel Hackney each won a field event also for Sabetha. Grimm tossed his way to the gold in the javelin (144'07), while Hackney won the triple jump with a leap of 37'03.50. On the track Sabetha posted a time of 45.79 to win the 4x100 meter relay, while Trae Synder won the 400 meter dash (53.65) and Mason Engelken took first in the 110 meter hurdles (17.51). The lady Bluejays picked up wins in both the 4x100 and 4x800 meter relays with times of 54.30 and 11:05.43, while Megan Meyer took first in the high jump (4'08) and Emily Meyer won the javelin (122'07). 

Jeff West Tigers were led by eight first place finishes by the lady Tigers leading them to the team title on the day with Jordan Hawman pacing the way with a triple gold day. Hawman sprinted to wins in the 100, 200 and 400 meter dashes behind times of 13.40, 27.55 and 1:03.93, respectively. Mariah Murdie also had a multi-gold day winning the 100 meter hurdles (16.65) and the triple jump (35'06) for the Tigers. Makayla Greene brought home first place in the discus (113'02), while Makenzie Tucker won the pole vault (8'00) and Alyssa Garza took first in the shot put (35'08.75). The lone first place finish by the Jeff West boys came by Remington Courter who won the long jump with a leap of 20'00. 

Five first place finishes helped the Perry Lecompton boys earn first place as a team on the day at the League Quad. The Kaws 4x800 meter relay team with a time of 9:25.55 took first, while Torin Vannest won the 300 meter hurdles (44.01) and Dalton Kellum picked up the gold in the 200 meter dash (23.45). In the field events both Josh Leclair and Max Kuenzi won the events, earning the gold in the high jump (5'08) and pole vault (10'06), respectively. A pair of lady Kaws also earned first place finishes as Lexia Jamison won the 1600 meter run (5:58.66) and Abbi Folks took first in the long jump (15'00). 

Cole Hinton led the way for Riverside at the meet as he posted times of 2:19.88 and 4:58.09 to win the 800 and 1600 meter runs in the boys competition. While Tre'nez Wilkinson sprinted to the win in the boys 100 meter dash with a time of 11.50 for the Cyclones. On the girls side of competition Miranda Trump won the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 54.66 for Riverside.

ACCHS Tigers had one event winner on the day as Madison Bissell won the girls 800 meter run behind a time of 2:35.02.
