Eighteen Area Senior Athletes to Compete in NCK All-Star Games at Cloud County CC

Another All-Star game will take place in the coming weeks just like the Highland CC All-Star games this one to be played on April 9th and 10th at Cloud County Community College's Concordia campus. 

Eighteen area athletes will compete in the volleyball, girls and boys basketball North Central Kansas All-Star games with the volleyball game slated for Saturday, April 9th at 3:00pm and the basketball games scheduled for Sunday, April 10th with the girls first at 2:00pm and the boys at approximately 3:45pm. 

Nine area athletes from Northeast Kansas will participate in the All-Star volleyball game with eight of the players hailing from the Twin Valley League and the other Marysville. Axtell Eagles, Kiersten Talbot and Courtney Hienen will be joined by Frankfort Wildcat, Kyla Hardwick, Centralia Panther, Mayda Stallbaumer, Hanover Wildcat, Morganne Zabokrtsky, Washington County Tiger, Courtney Moore, Clifton-Clyde Eagle, Elizabeth Nobert and Linn Bulldog, Hanna Bott from the TVL as part of the All-Star volleyball match while Marysville Bulldog, Claire Cudney will also particpate. Clifton-Clyde coach, Samantha Coon will also coach in the volleyball game. 

Six girls from the area will hit the court for the girls basketball All-Star game as both Heinen and Talbot of Axtell and Moore of Washington County will play basketball along with volleyball, while Nemaha Central Thunder, Rachael Baumgartner, Hanover Wildcat, Paige Doebele and Valley Heights Mustang, Brandi Jo Roepke will join them in the All-Star game. Clifton-Clyde girls basketball coach, Kieran Wurtz will also coach in the All-Star game. 

For the boys All-Star basketball game six area athletes will take to the court for the game as Centralia Panther, Braden Deters, Doniphan West Mustang, Cooper Leach, Washington County Tiger, Kyle McGatlin, Nemaha Central Thunder, Luke Holthaus and Sabetha Bluejays, Calder Keehn and Brock Frey will partcipate in the game. 

The games are slated for Saturday and Sunday, April 9th and 10th at Cloud County Community College.
