The ACCHS Tigers and Atchison Redmen continued the wrestling season on Saturday as a few wrestlers from each team competed on the mats at the Paola Invitational. 

Four Top six finishes were garnered by area grapplers between the Tigers and Redmen at the Paola Invitational. A 2-1 day with two pinfall wins in 1:19 and 3:23 led ACCHS as Ryan Hanshaw to a second place finish at the heavyweight division of 285lbs, while Karl Scholz also posted a 2-1 day on the mats and took third at 120lbs. Scholz had a pinfall win in 2:49 and a win via injury default. Despite going 0-2, Austin Hagar finished sixth for the Tigers at 106lbs. Jaden Lee (138lbs), Hunter Evans (138lbs), Nick Hager (145lbs) and Dylan Brinkinsha (152lbs) all also competed for ACCHS on the day. 

Atchison only had one wrestler take to the mats at the Paola Invitational as Spencer Vice notched a 2-3 record with a pair of pinfall wins in 40 seconds and 2:42 to place sixth at 138lbs. 

The wrestling season continues for ACCHS and Atchison this Thursday as ACCHS will be at the Royal Valley double dual and Atchison will be at the Sabetha double dual.
