Southeast Nebraska Teams Compete in Thunderbird Inv.

The Lincoln Lutheran boys and girls won the team titles at the Thunderbird Inv. Track Meet in Tecumseh Tuesday. 

For the girls Lincoln Lutheran scored 111 points for the title. Johnson County Central was third with 77, HTRS was tied for fourth with Tri County with 60 points, Sacred Heart was 7th with 34 points and Johnson-Brock was 9th with 12 points. 

The Lincoln Lutheran boys scored 126 points to claim to top spot. Sacred Heart was 2nd with 76.5, Johnson County Central placed 5th with 54, HTRS was 6th with 43.5, Johnson-Brock totaled 9 points for 10th spot. 

In the girls events HTRS freshman Allie Binder won the 3200 and 1600 meter runs. The Titans Bailey Kuhlman won the pole vault and Logan Standerford won the discus.

 Maddie Moran of Johnson County Central was a double gold medalist with wins in the high jump and 100 meter dash. 

Sacred Heart’s Maggie Goltz won the triple jump. 

Sacred Heart senior Sawyer Kean continues to have a strong spring with wins in the 100 meters and the long jump.  In addition Kean ran a leg of the winning 4 x 400 meter relay teaming up with Austin Malone, Keith Salimo and Henry Arnold.
