Sabetha Bluejays Soar to Another First Place Finish in Girls Tennis

Its been a great season on the tennis court for the Sabetha Bluejays and success continues with another stellar performance as they captured a first place finish at the Topeka-Hayden Quad. Taking on Bishop Seabury, Bishop Meige and Hayden the Bluejays soared to another team first place finish.

Amy Wysong and Ellie Montgomery teamed up again for the doubles competition for the Bluejays, while Laeny Edelman and Jessica Romines, also teamed up on the day. Wysong and Montgomery took second place in the doubles number one competition, Edelman and Romines captured first place in doubles number two competition. In the singles competition it was Kyla Patron and Jennifer Stallbaumer having stellar performances. Patron finished second in the singles competition number one, while Stallbaumer registered a first place finish for the Bluejays.

Sabetha wraps up the regular season with the Washburn Rural Invite today, then regionals will take place next weekend October 5th & 6th.
