Eighteen members of Highland Community College spring athletic teams also excelled in the classroom with a grade point average of 3.5 or more, qualifying them to be named as KJACCC Academic All-Conference.
Three members of the baseball team were named: Taylor Hendrick (Springfield, MO), Andrew Standish (Millard, NE), and Cameron Kirk (Pawhuska, OK). Nine members of the softball team qualified: Adaline Billinger (Ellinwood), Allyne Clark (Abilene, KS), Baylee Dillion (Grapevine, KS), Taylor Hatfield (Mulvane, KS), Kellyn Holt (Mulvane, KS), Holly Wilmarth (Maryville, MO), Katelyn Yoder (Shawnee, KS), Jessie Troupe (McLouth, KS), and Taylor Zimmerman (Olathe, KS).
Rylie Bowser (Holton) made it from the women’s basketball team; Derrick Schluter (Maryville, MO) for the men’s track team; and Crystal Hoard (Randolph, MO), Hannah Olsen (St. Joseph, MO), Rebecca Hasenkamp (Centralia, KS), and Holly Wilmarth (Maryville, MO) are Conference All-Academic from the women’s track team.
