The Nebraska women’s basketball program, fresh off a trip to the 2013 NCAA Sweet 16, tipped off its 2013-14 ticket sales for Season One at the new Pinnacle Bank Arena on Wednesday.
Nebraska fans can visit Huskers.com/arena right now and purchase adult general admission season tickets for just $80. Fans who want reserved tickets can choose their seats on-line for the first season in the new arena for just $160. A $25 per seat deposit is all that is needed to secure the season tickets, and fans will be invoiced prior to the start of the 2013-14 campaign. With 20 games on the schedule for Coach Connie Yori’s Huskers, season ticket holders will enjoy the best value in Nebraska Athletics.
The 2013-14 Huskers, who are coming off back-to-back NCAA Tournament bids, are expected to play 18 regular-season games in their first season at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Fans can expect to see 10 non-conference clashes and eight Big Ten regular-season games, along with a pair of exhibition games.
The Huskers will play at least six 2013 NCAA Tournament teams in their first season on their home court at Pinnacle Bank Arena. In fact, all six teams advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. In all, Nebraska expects to play at least nine regular-season home games against 2013 postseason teams.
Nebraska is coming off its second trip to the NCAA Sweet 16 in the past four years and will feature four returning starters led by senior forward Jordan Hooper. A two-time All-American and first-team All-Big Ten selection, Hooper hopes to spend her senior season chasing history. The National Player-of-the-Year candidate enters her final campaign with striking distance of Nebraska’s career scoring, rebounding and three-point shooting records.
