McLouth wrestler Justin Patz qualified for the State Tournament which marked the first boy to qualify for the state wrestling tournament since the school started the wrestling program.

The freshman is 20-8 in his first high school season at 138 pounds. He’s been wrestling as early as three years old and was wrestling USAWKS tournaments at five years old.

He and his sister Leighanna is the first brother/sister duo to qualify for state wrestling together for McLouth, and it'll be their last tournament wrestling together as Leighanna is a senior.

The tournaments will be held this week starting on Thursday in Salina.
