Conner Bigham

Jack-of-all-trades would be a good way to described Hiawatha Red Hawk senior, Conner Bigham, given what he provides for Hiawatha on the football field, especially with his latest performance in the Red Hawks 38-8 win over Royal Valley.
Bigham accounted for 20 of the teams 38 points directly doing it in a multitude of ways. Conner started his scoring barrage on Friday night scoring the first points of the evening with a 27-yard field goal that split the uprights. The scoring didn’t stop there as Conner provided a pair of electric return touchdowns to assure the Red Hawks the win over the Panthers. Bigham notched his first touchdown on special teams with an 83-yard punt return. Adding an exclamation point to his night and the Red Hawks win, Conner intercepted a pass on the goal-line and took it to the house for a 100-yard score.
The Red Hawk senior on top of his pair of return touchdowns and field goal added a 5-5 night on extra points, to add up to his 20 points he helped directly put on the board for Hiawatha. He added three receptions for 35 yards and 8 tackles on defense in the contest.
The do it all guy Bigham, has been doing it all season for Hiawatha as he posted 136 yards on four receptions including a touchdown in the loss to Jeff West, while adding a 28-yard field goal in the game.
The Red Hawks are looking to build upon a strong 8-3 season last year that saw the team notch a playoff win and Hiawatha is off to a 2-1 start this season with Bigham an integral part to the early Red Hawk success. He is also heavily relied upon to provide his senior leadership this season and Hiawatha searches for a third straight playoff campaign.
