The Horton Chargers are dancing in Manhattan this week to the 2A State Tournament after winning the Sub-State Championship this past weekend over Riverside.

Luke McAfee led the Chargers in the Championship game against Riverside as he finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Luke was the second leading rebounder in the tournament.

Horton’s run to State included other Sub-State wins over Jackson Heights and Valley Falls. They finished the regular season at 11-5 in NEKL play which was good for a tie for second place. 

This will be the first year that Horton has made the State Tournament since 2008.

They will be the 7-seed at the State Tournament with a record of 15-8 and they’ll face 2-seed Thomas More Prep on Wednesday.
