Taylor Weishaar

An athlete of the week once again this season with Riverside’s Taylor Weishaar. Taylor posted monster games in the Cyclones run this past week to a Sub-State Championship and 2A State Tournament berth.

The junior had 29 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks against Republic County. She posted a near triple-double against Valley Heights with 12 points, 11 rebounds and nine blocks.  

She passed 1,000 career points in the Sub-State Championship win against Jackson Heights and finished with 25 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks.

She’s set to lead the Cyclones to Manhattan this week for the 2A State Tournament. They’ll open the tournament on Thursday afternoon against Wichita Independent.

Riverside is 20-3 overall and earned the 4-seed while Wichita Independent is the 5-seed at 19-4 overall.
