Battling back from any injury is always tough let alone battling back from an ACL injury but that’s just want Falls City Tiger junior, Sydney Armbruster has done.

After suffering an ACL injury last year during the basketball season, Sydney has battled back to burst back on to the athletic scene at Falls City high school again; this year putting up unbelievable numbers at shortstop for the Tigers softball team this fall.

Armbruster through 11 games this season has helped the Tigers to a 7-4 record behind her blistering hot bat, touting an average of .600 on the season with 21 hits, 16 runs scored and 10 RBI’s; she leads the team in three of those categories and the other (RBI’s) she’s tied for second on the team. Sydney has been a potent weapon for the Tigers all season posting an on base percentage of .659 and slugging percentage of .714.

Seven of the 11 games played this season Sydney has posted a multi-hit game with five of them being three hit contests.

The junior, captain has been a leader on the diamond for the Tigers this season with her performance and will to battle back from injury. She looks to continue her hot start to the season as the Tigers look to build upon a 21-10 season last year.
