Adie Manville
|
The incredible career of Jefferson County North’s Adie Manville continued last week in track and field as she broke the JCN school record in the high jump with a jump of 5’8 ¼.
It’s a record that was last set in 1978 so 44 years that record held strong until Adie set the new mark last week.
She is the reigning 2A State Champion, she won it her freshmen and junior seasons. Could’ve been three straight if Covid hadn’t eliminated her sophomore season.
Adie is a three-time NEKL champion, member of the 4X100, and 4X400 meter relay teams. Last year the 4x400 meter relay team placed was 7th at state.
She also plays volleyball, where she was First Team NEKL, First Team All-state in 2A, and First Team 2A All-Tournament team.
According to head coach Rich Leakey, “Probably the best quality that Adie has in my opinion is she is a great person”.
