Mary Lukert

The 2020 cross country season has been well to the Sabetha girls who has dominant the team standings in nearly every race they have competed in so far this season.

Last week the Lady Jays made easy work of the Horton Invitational and it came after a strong day from Mary Lukert who claimed fourth place to lead the way.

It was yet another strong performance by Lukert who has finished in the top 10 of every race she has competed in so far this season.

Not only has Lukert been strong on the cross-country team, but she has also helped the Lady Jays’ volleyball team off to a 23-1 start and the No. 1 ranking in Class 3A.

On the volleyball court she has over 40 kills this season including 14 aces, 34 blocks and a serve percentage of 95 percent.

Lukert will look to continue her strong fall season and help lead the cross country team to state along with the volleyball team in 2020.
