Kramer Ends Career in Seneca Early Due to COVID-19
Alleigh Kramer

The 2020 high school spring sports season was cut short due to the COVID-19 outbreak and because of that we at the MSC Sports Radio Network have decided to salute area athletes that were expected to be the top returners in their respective sports.

Perhaps the most anticipated returner for 2020 came on the track in Nemaha Central’s Alleigh Kramer who was looking to defend not only an individual state championship but three consecutive girls’ team titles.

She had a strong showing at state track a year claiming a state title in the 200-meter dash while also finishing second in the 100-meter dash and third in the long jump.

It marked the second straight strong showing at state for Kramer, who two years ago took second in the 200, third in the 100 and fourth in the long jump.

As a freshman she also reached state track & field and placed in two events taking fourth in the 200 and sixth in the long jump.

Kramer is a three-sport star including an all-state selection the past couple years on the basketball court where she is set to continue her career at the next level being committed to Benedictine College.

There’s no doubt that Kramer was expected to be one of the top spring sports athletes in 2020 and although she will never know how the year would’ve ended, she ends her career at Nemaha Central as one of the top girl’s athletes in the school’s history.
