It’s been a near perfect start to the 2019 season for the Jackson Heights volleyball team as the Cobras are off to a 13-1 start to the season which includes a win at the Frankfort Invitational this past weekend.

A large reason to the early season success of the Cobras has been the play of senior Kylie Dohl who currently leads the team in three statistical categories.

Dohl has been dominant at the net so far this season recording 85 kills which leads the team while she is also first on the team in serve percentage (95.9) and in digs with 122.

Over the weekend she recorded 30 kills in the Cobras tournament title, which included an eight-kill performance in Jackson Heights’ two set win over Onaga.

Those eight kills match her season high which has done two other times this season while she has also recorded a perfect serving percentage in 11 of 14 matches.

Dohl was named a first-team all-Northeast Kansas Selection last season which she also received as a sophomore.

The Cobras and Dohl will look to keep the 2019 season rolling in the right direction as Jackson Heights will have two matches this week at Horton Tuesday night.
