Emilee Ebert
|
Just like our boy’s athlete of the week our girl’s athlete is another multiple-sport athlete as Frankfort senior Emilee Ebert is coming off claiming four Twin Valley League championships.
She opened up the meet with a gold medal in the long jump, as she broke her own school record with a leap of 17 feet, 6 inches which bested her previous school record by an inch.
Ebert followed that up with wins in the 100 and 200-meter dashes, claiming her personal record in the 200 with a time of 26.52.
She ended the day with a relay event win, teaming up to capture the 4 by 100-meter relay.
These wins just add to what has been a great senior season for Ebert, as she has already picked up first-team all-state volleyball and basketball honors.
The Division I basketball signee (Missouri State) was also recently named to play in the annual Kansas Basketball Coaches Association all-star game as well.
Ebert will now look to cap off her senior campaign with a berth in the state meet in Wichita as regionals are scheduled to be held Thursday, May 16 at Washington County High School.
