For the last four seasons Oskaloosa senior Hunter Reed has been one of the top players throughout Northeast Kansas.
Because of his four-year success he is now closing in on multiple state records and after four combined hits in doubleheader sweep of ACCHS last Monday is hitting .643 on the season.
He has compiled now 32 hits on the year and 19 RBI’s, while the mound has a 1.37 earned run average with 47 strikeouts in 30.1 innings compared to just six walks.
With his 32 hits he is now just nine hits away from the Kansas career state record which sits at 139, while he is also just eight run and 11 stolen bases away from two more records.
Reed has now just two games remaining in the regular season to go along with the playoffs, as the Bears are currently 12-6 on the season and in the second spot of their home regional which is set to take place next week.
