It’s a been a strong season so far in 2019 for Northeast Kansas track & field athletes with records broken and dominant performances both on the track and in field events.
For Nemaha Central’s Jacy Dalinghaus she has put together top finishes all season long and last week continued her 2019 success with two more wins at the Riverside Quad in the shot put and discus.
These finishes came after a strong performance at the KU relays last weekend, as she finished third in the javelin and seventh in the shot put.
On the season she has won the javelin and shot-put titles in every Big 7 League meet she has competing in, including three discus titles as well.
Last season Dalinghaus shined as a junior winning a state title in the javelin, while she also finished second in the shot put and fourth in the discus.
With just two meets remaining in the regular season Dalinghaus will look to continue her season success and make a return trip to the state meet in Wichita and a shot to repeat as a state champion.
