The 2018-19 high school basketball season has been overall for several weeks but that hasn’t stopped Frankfort senior Emilee Ebert from continuing to garner awards.
This past Sunday Ebert competed in the 33rd Annual Northeast Kansas All-Star Games and was named her team’s Most Valuable Player in both the all-star volleyball and girls basketball contests.
Ebert opened up the day with an outstanding performance in a loss in the volleyball match, as she picked up eight kills and three aces in the five set thriller.
She followed that up with an even better performance in the basketball contest, dropping 20 points including 16 in the second half with her Gold squad once again falling just short.
The MVP awards come just a few weeks after Ebert was named a first team all Class 1A selection by all publications.
This season she was also named a McDonald’s All-American Game nominee, averaging 17 points and eight rebounds per game this season while also earning a first team all-Twin Valley League selection.
Ebert will look to continue her success into the collegiate level, as she has signed to play basketball at Missouri State next season after leaving an irreplaceable mark at Frankfort High School.
