There’s a common saying throughout sports that big time players make big-time plays in big-time games.

For Frankfort senior Brandon Anderson that was the case Friday night, as he poured in 21 points including the game-winning bucket at the buzzer in a 49-48 win over 1A state ranked Washington County.

Anderson is currently averaging 13 points per game and has scored 15 points in four games so far this season shooting just under 40 percent from three.

While Anderson is having a strong basketball season he is coming off a big cross country season as well, as he helped the Frankfort boys to a state runner-up finish for the second time in his high school career.

He’s a 3-time all-league selection, was all-state this year and also a part of three league championships.

Along with being a strong cross country runner Anderson is a 3-time all-league golfer and has helped the Wildcats to three league championships and a state runner-up finish this past season.

As to the basketball court Anderson and the Wildcats are off to a 6-2 start to the year and have Wetmore on the road Tuesday before gearing up for the Twin Valley League tournament next week.
