When you look at Kansas high school sports, the unique thing that stands out is the fact that at any point of the year there are several different sport options that someone can compete in.

While the spring sports season is reserved for boys’ golf, the girls have their chance to showcase their talents in the fall sports season as girls’ golf is held across the state.

So far this season area girls have shown out on the links, especially Holton’s Sarah Holaday.

Holaday has helped lead the Wildcats to three tournament wins so far this season, with the latest coming at the Jeff West Invite last Monday.

In that meet, Holaday picked up a first place finish which marked the first individual crown she has won this season.

Holaday also picked up a two-person first place finish with Faith Holaday at the Jeff West quad earlier this fall, as the duo combined to shoot 76.

She then followed that up with a third place finish at Spring Hill, before winning the Jeff West invite last week.

Holaday and the Lady Cats will look to end the season strong this week, competing at the Basehor-Linwood Invitational on Thursday.
